I started out as a skip tracer. Just in case you don’t know, that’s the guy who finds the people who don’t want to be found. It was the little things—getting paid to lie—that made skip tracing the fun part of the job.
Those years of chasing deadbeats taught me many valuable life lessons, such as liars come from all walks of life, and always keep your car in the garage.

Less to do with the road to Hana, but I love craggy lava and the odd formations it makes. You know you’re in the tropics when vines and ferns grow out of the tiniest crack with salt water spraying all around. Birds will sit at the top just out of the reach of waves, and the fish don’t seem to mind at all about the tumbling tides. I’ve never cared much about having a view from the front window, but that’s something I could live with. There is no end to those little coves along that road, and the views are almost enough to take the minds of the car-sick off what’s troubling them. 🙂

I could sure live with that kind of view, too, Kay. Every day the same, but different. And yes, the vines and ferns create such an ambience!

I haven’t done the Hana road. It looks like I should visit Mauai again. Beautiful.

Indeed, John, the Road to Hana is an amazing tour. Hope you get to go soon!
