Friday Fotos – Blue hour Oahu sunset at the harbor

June 15, 2018 By Terry

Blue hour Oahu sunset at the harbor

Oahu sunset at the harbor
This is one of my favorite times of the day. When the sky is still blue, but the lights are coming on and there are a few stars twinkling.

I was so fortunate that we had such a beautiful sunset on one of the few evenings we had to just sit back and relax during our trip to Honolulu last year. I was content to watch the sunset from beginning to end, and kept snapping pictures every few minutes!

More from the O‘ahu sunrise/sunset archives

Ala Wai Harbor with sunset almost done.
As the sun sinks into the ocean, the views from shore become more and more colorful and, of course, spectacular.
Ala Wai Harbor with sunset past
Even after the sun goes down, Mother Nature’s show continues with ever-changing colors.

Sunset at the harbor
The sun is down, but the colors were still beautiful for this walk along the harbor in Honolulu.
Waikīkī at dawn
Waikiki creates a stunning skyline early in the morning at Kahanamoku Beach.
Sunrise looking back toward Waikīkī at Kahanamoku Beach
The sun was not yet over the horizon, but already there was activity down at Kahanamoku Beach.

About Terry

I started out as a skip tracer. Just in case you don’t know, that’s the guy who finds the people who don’t want to be found. It was the little things—getting paid to lie—that made skip tracing the fun part of the job.

Those years of chasing deadbeats taught me many valuable life lessons, such as liars come from all walks of life, and always keep your car in the garage.
