During our visit to New Zealand, we saw some amazing sights. Some happened in the most ordinary places. This photo of New Zealand water was taken at a private residence in Tauranga. I kept thinking that if I had that view, I’d never move!

Photo of the Week
I mentioned that this view is at a private residence. In fact, the owner of the property is a Maori guide who works for the tour company. He was kind enough to allow us to visit and take photos. I posted about this particular day in 2019 and said that I was amazed at the similarities in the Hawaiian and Maori cultures. Not only do their cultures have a lot of similarities, but they both went through periods in history when missionaries tried to eradicate any trace of that culture. I’m so happy that both of them were able to survive those misguided efforts.
