Have you been to Spouting Horn? It’s a very cool place, a must-see tourist attraction. On any given day, if you spend time at Spouting Horn, you’ll invariably see several busloads of tourists. There’s a lava tube under the hole in the rocks and the rushing water coming in makes a huge hissing noise. Of course, that’s not nearly as much fun as the legend of Liko and Kaikapu.
Legend of Liko and Kaikapu
Liko was a young boy who decided to trap the giant lizard Kaikapu in the cave under the rocks because the everyone feared the lizard. He swam into the water, shoved a stick into Kaikapu’s mouth, and swam into the lava tube. The lizard chased Liko, but he climbed out using the small hole in the rocks. To this day, the lizard’s moans can be heard by all who visit Spouting Horn.

I love the legends from ancient Hawaii. In your spare time, maybe you could start another blog, Terry? 🙂
