In May 2009, I started this website. At that time, I used it mostly to put up pictures for family so they could follow us on trips. In 2010, I started providing tips on how to avoid scams and cons and did some author interviews. Today, those scam tips reach a broad audience and I’ve been fortunate to interview many of today’s top authors including Lisa Gardner, Phillip Margolin, F. Paul Wilson, and more.
I also had a section on the site for “Featured News,” which was intended to be used for news about my books, events, etc. That section, however, has begun to feel a bit limiting. So, today, I’ve revised the heading and will be calling it “From the Blog.” I’ll still use the section for book news, but will add in posts about other timely or fun topics. In that spirit, I’m kicking this section off with a corker of a video. Here’s the scoop.
On Monday Kathy and I visited the San Diego Zoo. During the trip, we made a stop at one of our favorite exhibits to see what the polar bears were up to. Most of the time, these guys are not terribly active. On this particular trip, however, we’d hung out for a few minutes and it looked like the most we were going to see were the big guys napping. Then, one woke up and it was time to shoot hoops, polar bear style. If you like the video, I hope you’ll tell others so they can enjoy!
