“Small Business Saturday” will be here on Nov. 30 and Mysterious Galaxy has invited several local authors, including me, to participate in the event. The authors will be on hand as “honorary booksellers” to help patrons select their next great read, find a gift, or just to chat. I’m very pleased to be invited to attend and help celebrate the small business response to “Black Friday.”
The other authors helping out this Saturday include Matt Coyle and Kristen Elise. Here’s a bit of information on each. Matt and Kirsten.
Matt Coyle’s “Yesterday’s Echo” finds Rick Cahill in limbo—never convicted of his wife’s murder, but never exonerated either. Rick’s desperate search for redemption goes wrong when he becomes a suspect in a new murder. Before Rick can save himself and bring down a murderer, he must confront the truth about his own past and untangle his feeling for a woman he can never fully trust. (mattcoyle.com)
Kirsten Elise’s novel, “The Vesuvius Isotope” is a Staff Pick at Mysterious Galaxy. When her Nobel laureate husband is murdered, biologist Katrina Stone can no longer ignore the secrecy that increasingly pervaded his behavior in recent weeks. Katrina must separate truth from legend as she follows her late husband’s trail to reveal a legacy of greed and murder and resurrect an ancient plague, introducing it into the twenty-first century.
