The Walk started easily enough. In fact, today’s photo gallery gives you a photo tour of the Kamalani Playground. It’s a very cool place and not just for kids. The return trip was uneventful, just the sand, the water and a few people.
Now we get to the fun part. It was time to paint. I’d purchased a new gallon of paint yesterday because we’d used up the last of the color we needed last year and SURPRISE, the color was off. . .way off.
Of course, paint colors always vary from batch to batch, but this was a pretty significant difference. Change of plans, paint an extra wall.
And, SURPRISE AGAIN, I had my first major painting accident. After the accident, Kathy told me that she had a dream last night that I’d spilled the entire gallon of paint in the entryway. Fortunately, it was nowhere near that big of a disaster, but it was enough to send us scrambling and cleaning up for a while. Thank goodness for drop cloths!
Well, after painting was done, it was time to go to TC’s for lunch. It’s a great little place we enjoy going to and the food was, as always, good. So, that brings us to TODAY’s trip to Home Depot. It was easy to return the fan control switch I bought yesterday (see yesterday’s’ post for more on that). But, they didn’t have the part we needed. We found another store that had the part, but when I went there and asked if I could return the part if it didn’t work, they said, “Once you open it, we can’t resell it.” Oh yeah, and they couldn’t confirm that the switch would actually work. When I told the clerk that the Hunter Fan website was “broke” because it showed incomplete information about the part, she accessed the site and, after a couple of minutes, said, “I think I got to the broke part.” I left them to figure out whether the switch will work with our fan. More tomorrow. . . . Until then, photos! Remember, you can click a photo to see a larger image.
