The Genre LA writing conference will be here on Saturday, February 8 and 9. The conference features writing workshops in a variety of genres. The conference is intended for literary and screen writers devoted to the craft and business of writing in specific genres and subgenres. Individual workshops and sessions focus on: Thrillers and Mysteries; Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror; Romance to Erotic; Non-Fiction Historical, Biographies, True Crime; Memoirs, Spiritual, Self-Help, LGBT, Y/A, Urban, Historic, and more.
I’ll be presenting a workshop about “Conflict on the Page” and will also be on a panel that discusses writing realistic police characters. Because I’m a presenter at the conference, I can get people I refer a special discount. If you’re interested, use the contact form on the site to get in touch (or use my email address if you have it.) I’ll send you instructions on how to get $50 off the two-day conference plus another great benefit.
The “Conflict” workshop will be fun because we’ll get right into the nitty-gritty about how to ramp up your manuscript to add that element that keeps readers reading. For more information about the conference, visit the website at wcwriters.org.
