A spectacular Kauai sunrise jigsaw puzzle

There’s nothing more amazing than a colorful sunrise or sunset. I love watching the sun shine through the clouds as nature puts on a show that includes a seemingly infinite array of reds, purples, silvers, and blacks. This spectacular Kauai sunrise is probably my favorite of all time. I can recall the tropical breeze on my face as I watched, mesmerized, by the incredible colors.

Photo of the Week – Spectacular Kauai sunrise

I took this photo almost ten years ago at Nukoli’i Beach on Kauai’s east side. The beach is makai (toward the ocean) side of Kauai Beach Villas, which is where our condo was located. It was only a short walk along a path that crossed over the lagoons and led to the beach a couple of hundred feet away. Sweet? Right? I did love that condo and was heartbroken when we sold it.

Nearly every morning during our visits to Kauai, I’d make that walk. It’s a popular thing to do at that resort, and with views like this, is it any wonder why?
