Kilauea Lighthouse view to the east
Here’s another Kilauea Lighthouse view. This one overlooks the bay to the east of the lighthouse. Seabirds make their homes along the banks of this bay. They nest in the shrubbery and take refuge on the steep inclines where they’re relatively safe. Whenever we go here, I’m entranced by the wave action in the bay. I love this spot, with the birds sailing overhead or diving into the ocean for their next meal.
This Kilauea Lighthouse view can’t be beat for the sense of serenity it brings. For the adventurous, or at least those in good shape, you can always take a walking tour on the other side of the bay. As I said in my last post about Kilauea Lighthouse, this is a day trip you shouldn’t miss. The cost is minimal, the views are stunning, and the experience relaxing.
