I started out as a skip tracer. Just in case you don’t know, that’s the guy who finds the people who don’t want to be found. It was the little things—getting paid to lie—that made skip tracing the fun part of the job.
Those years of chasing deadbeats taught me many valuable life lessons, such as liars come from all walks of life, and always keep your car in the garage.

One of our interests while traveling to New Zealand was to learn more about the Maoris. Fortunately, we had several opportunities to visit historical sites or see ceremonies such as this welcoming ceremony. And though the experience isn’t the same as it would be in a remote area or perhaps a hundred years ago, it’s as close as a modern tourist can get.

I really enjoyed License to Lie. I appreciated the setting (Carlsbad, CA) as well as the complex characters. Interesting plot combining fraud and kidnapping, 2 very different kinds of crimes. I especially enjoyed the ending…left me wondering about what would happen next. Looking forward to more books in this series.
