On our drive back from the South side, we decided to take a little detour and get off the Kaumualii Highway. Friday Fotos — Panorama Pineapple Dump
Here's a panorama shot taken on Kauai's Pineapple Dump. If you've never seen this structure, it's quite impressive. It juts out over the water and is where the Hawaiian Pineapple Canning Company used to dump the pineapple remnants after the canning process. Mornings on Kauai are a special time. The light is softer, the clouds are coming in off the horizon, and the air is still relatively cool. Though the day's temperature will only climb into the mid 80s, the mornings feel fresh and peaceful.
