On our drive back from the South side, we decided to take a little detour and get off the Kaumualii Highway. It was nearing typical afternoon rush hour and, quite frankly, we just felt like taking the road less traveled. We had lots of clouds on this particular day, but there was enough of a break to steal this shot of the mauka side on Kauai’s Southeast coastline. It certainly wasn’t our first trip along this road, and it won’t be the last. I much prefer mountains and open fields to bumpers and taillights. Happy Aloha Friday!
