When we visited Kauai each year, Lydgate Park was one of our favorite places to go for morning walks. There was always a bit of everything there—a paved walking path, tropical breezes, and a beautiful beach. All those elements combined to create beautiful views like the one in today’s Sunny Kauai morning jigsaw puzzle.

I originally shared this photo a few months ago. It was taken from the Point Lobos Nature Reserve near Monterey, CA during a road trip we took in October. While the views from Point Lobos are typically spectacular, we were fortunate in that we were just going into a heatwave that brought along clear skies and hot days

The peacocks at Leo Carrillo Ranch have quite the reputation here in North San Diego County. They tend to be bold, and this one was a bit of a showoff, too. He doesn’t know it, but he’s my photo of the week and the main attraction in this peacock train jigsaw puzzle!
