Friday Fotos — Big Island road trip
Let's drop in on the north side of the Big Island today and visit a nice little lookout at the end of the road. From here, we could see up Waipio Valley or off along the coast. One of our stops on our Road to Hana tour during our stay on Maui was at the Keanae Peninsula. A fabulous spot to see some waves, have a picnic, or just relax. Mornings on Kauai are a special time. The light is softer, the clouds are coming in off the horizon, and the air is still relatively cool. Though the day's temperature will only climb into the mid 80s, the mornings feel fresh and peaceful. This Maui photo was taken during our stay in Lahaina. One day, we took a drive from Lahaina to the ʻIao Valley. The drive takes you south from Lahaina along the Honoāpiilani Highway, which is the only road possible to use.
