Let’s drop in on the north side of the Big Island today and visit a nice little lookout at the end of the road. From here, we could see up Waipio Valley or off along the coast. It’s a long drive to get to the lookout, but it’s an amazing view. My only regret is we did this late in the day and didn’t have time to walk around the quaint little town of Honokaa. One thing’s for sure, not a lot of nightlife in this part of the island!

HI Michael, for my photos there’s certainly no problem if there’s attribution and a link. Thanks!

I’ve always liked Honoka’a. The people seem very kindly there. Quiet, and the trades are always—always—blowing. If you like vegetable gardening, I doubt there could be a better place than that side of the Big Island.

I’m ready, Kay! I could live with vegetable gardening as my major activity.
