Your first question might be, “Is he crazy? Trash art?” Well, no, I’m perfectly sane. Or so the doctors say. If your second question is “Howzit? What’s that?” Then you need more island time. Amongst other things, “howzit” loosely translates to “What’s up?”
In any case, while we were taking our morning walks on Kauai, Kathy noticed a strange phenomenon. It turns out that many of the trash cans along the Kauai shared-use path running from Kapaa to the north and west have been painted. We’ve missed some of them simply because we couldn’t visit every trash can along the path. However, for those who want to take a virtual walk along the shores of Kauai, here’s our little trash art showing. It will probably never make the galleries in New York, but that’s their loss.
Sit back, grab an umbrella drink, enjoy the little show, and when you’re done, I hope you’ll raise your hand in the shaka sign and say, “Trash art is da bomb!” After all, some of our models were just a wee bit shy.
By the way, I’m always on the lookout for good Hawaii photos. If you have some you’d like to share, let me know and we’ll talk about featuring your shots on Friday Fotos!
Hint: you can manually advance through the slides by placing your mouse over the slideshow and clicking the pause button, then use the forward/back buttons to navigate.
