Sunrise at Nukoli‘i Beach

Beginning the day down along the shore at Nukoli‘i Beach was always a favorite part of my days when we visited Kaua‘i. Each morning, a flock of sunrise watchers gather to see the clouds part and the rays of golden sunshine poke through. As you can see in the photo above, the colors run the gamut from black to gray and gold to a brilliant orange. Someday I hope to get back there and see this view again. Until then, I’ll just have to settle for the photo.
