Whether you celebrate Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanzaa, or Jerry Seinfeld’s Festivus (the holiday for the rest of us), I want to wish everyone a happy holiday season. It’s also time for me to announce the retirement of the Friday Morning Post. This edition will be the final one, at least, for now. Sadly, I’m slowing down, and it’s taking much longer to write a book. I’m also getting less time to write due to health issues for Kathy and me. Add to that the fact that we’d really like to do more traveling, and it’s time to start cutting back.
I’ve been blogging weekly since 2012 and have written so many posts I can’t even imagine how many. The last time I missed a week was earlier this year, and prior to that, I can’t recall. For now, I’ll still produce my monthly newsletter, The Snitch, which includes a scam tip, writing news, and contest information. I’ll also do a special edition for my newsletter mailing list when there’s a new book coming out.
Seaside Cove #9
The ninth book in the Seaside Cove Bed & Breakfast Mystery series is in the editing stage. This is a lengthy process where I do my best to make the book shed its rough edges and turn it into something you’ll actually enjoy reading. I’ve got a lot of editing to do, but if you’re interested in reading an advance copy with all those rough edges, click here to get in touch
.
For those who’d rather wait for the finished book, look for it during the first quarter of 2026.
Puzzle Time!
For last week’s Christmas Market puzzle, the fastest time was 4 minutes 43 seconds, and the average was 8 minutes 21 seconds. My time was not too bad for me at 11 minutes 57 seconds. I’m going to miss this!
