I saw an article that $5 billion is being released to help states start building EV charging stations every 50 miles along the Interstates. As a new EV owner, I think this is very exciting news. How long it will take to accomplish that task is anybody’s guess, but maybe we’ll start seeing some actual work within the next year. (Or maybe it will just be the signs that say there will be some actual work by 20XX?) Either way, I see this as a step in the right direction to helping us move away from oil.
Driving an Interstate highway is hardly my idea of an interesting driving trip, so I’m hoping the charging stations will have something to make them stand out. I doubt that many of those stations will have anything like the charging stations at Civic Center Park in Palm Desert, but it sure would be nice if they felt more like a place to lounge around than one to hurry through.
Final days to win a copy of Mystery of the Eight Islands
Kings River Life recently reviewed Mystery of the Eight Islands. As part of that review, I’m giving away one print copy of the book to a US resident. Non-US can still get the Kindle version, so check out the review at https://www.krlnews.com/2022/02/mystery-of-eight-islands-by-terry.html. But hurry, the contest ends tomorrow!
