One of the things I love abourt morning walks is the light. Just one glimpse can create a beautiful start to the day.

Look up and enjoy the world

We’re all guilty of it at times, walking along and not paying attention to anything going on around us. That’s why when I take my morning walk, I try to stay alert to what’s going on in the world around me. Part of that is being aware of other people and cars (we live near a busy street and the drivers are nuts!). But the other part is taking in the sights and sounds and pausing to enjoy the view. 

Sunrises are my favorite part of the day. This shot was taken just after the sun had risen over the hills in the background (which was where I was headed on my walk). But when I saw the sun behind the trees, I knew I had to stop, grab a quick photo, and soak up the view.
