Towards the end of our helicopter tour, our guide took us north to the waterfalls. While it was a gray day, we still had beautiful blue waters and white surf.

During our 2017 visit to the Big Island, we took a Blue Hawaiian Helicopter tour. After we’d visited the volcano and seen some incredible views of flowing lava, our pilot took us up to the waterfalls north of Hilo. It was an amazing contrast to what we’d seen at the volcano.

    Beautiful! We never made it to the Big Island when we were there in 1982. We spent 5 days on Kauai and 5 days on Oahu. Looking back we should have spent the entire trip in Kauai! Gorgeous island wonderful people!
