Liliuokalani Gardens shine on a gray day

There wasn’t a lot of sun during our stay in Hilo. In fact, we even got a bit of rain during this stop. But, I was determined to make it to Liliuokalani Gardens at the urging of a friend, and so we went. We were not disappointed despite the gray clouds and occasional sprinkles. Thanks to the ever-present rain in Hilo, the gardens are lush and green. There are plenty of walking paths and little spots to sit and contemplate almost anything. We were so happy to have made this stop!
