Big Island Bird’s Eye View

You guessed it. We planned the helicopter tour well in advance. The weather had been dry for two weeks prior to our visit. Then, we left hot and dry Honolulu and landed in rainy Hilo. We counted down the hours to the helicopter tour, all the time wondering, would we be rained out? We were not rained out, but clouds dampened the colors considerably. It just goes to show, in a place like Hawai‘i, Mother Nature has a mind of her own.
