During our trip to the Big Island, we had some spare time at the end of the day. We drove out of Waimea (the little town with two names — it’s also called Kamuela) heading north, which is really west, but that’s another story. When we came across a sign on the highway indicating Kukuihaele was only a few miles, we decided to check it out and turned east. We found a quaint little town but had also seen the signs for Waipio Lookout. It was decision time, so we continued our exploration and headed further east to the end of the road on the (roughly) north side, where the Waipio Valley Lookout is located.
When you walk down the path and go to the end, you can find this fabulous blue ocean vista. Mahalo Mother Nature for your beauty!
