If you’ve visited the little town of Hanapepe on Kaua‘i, you may know about this old gas pump and pickup. One of our favorite places while we’re in Hanapepe is the Banana Patch Studio, where you can watch the locals working away at turning out hand-painted items. I don’t recall seeing this pickup in the past, but it was a very cool addition. Hope it’s still there next time. We’ve never done the Friday Night Art Walk, mostly because it’s focused on food and music (and since we both have food sensitivities, we would miss out on half of the fun). But, if you’re on Kaua‘i on a Friday, I hear it’s great fun. By the way, can you guess what the price of gas might be on the pump? See the answer below and let me know how close you came!
The gas price on the pump is $0.45 per gallon. Don’t you wish?
