While on Oahu this year, we had one day with a car. That day was dedicated to a trip to the North Shore and the little town of Haleʻiwa. The little town of Haleʻiwa turned into a real surprise. We found a very upscale restaurant where we could get gluten-free, then just around the corner, found a pizza shop where they had gluten-free pizza…that was really, really good.
Unfortunately, I missed a turn on the way back to Honolulu and so our trip back turned into a circuitous route across the island, then up over the Pali Highway to return. Ah well, itʻs beautiful country, as youʻll see.
By the way, I’m always on the lookout for good Hawaii photos. If you have some you’d like to share, let me know and we’ll talk about featuring your shots on Friday Fotos!

Still lots of green on Oahu!

And a beautiful island it is, Kay. That little missed turn I mentioned in the post put us on H3 with no offramps. At first, I thought, “What a bummer.” Then, it became a delightful sightseeing tour!
