The forecast here on Kauai is for three days of rain—well, maybe seven. Like everything else, the weather works on island time, so it only seems fitting to show these Kapaa photos from Thursday morning’s walk along the shore. These Kapaa photos may be the only glimpse of a sunny morning we have for a while.
Kauai has a shared-use (bike/pedestrian) path that runs more than four miles from Kapaa up past the Pineapple Dump. I’ve show photos of that section before, so here are Kapaa photos just taken on the southern end. I hope you enjoy!
By the way, I’m always on the lookout for good Hawaii photos. If you have some you’d like to share, let me know and we’ll talk about featuring your shots on Friday Fotos!

This is the view along the walking path in the middle of Kapaa...
Further down the path, we're right along the beach...
The Waikaea canal crosses under a footbridge along the path...
Further south, another irresistible opportunity for me to photograph the shoreline...
Technically, this is Waipouli Beach Park, but the beach is called Baby Beach...
Does Baby Beach get its name from it's size?
As you can see, it's pretty small...
And here's a local with the right idea...take the pooch out to play...
The trees show just how often and in what direction the trade winds blow...
Right near the public library is stream with a beautiful bridge...
Where you can step into a dedicated cutout to dawdle without impeding the foot/bicycle traffic...
