Who says public domain is drab, not fab?
Once again, I’m choosing to look elsewhere for photos. This week, it was time to look to the public domain. Public domain tends to imply dated or blah. Well, look at some of these shots. Nothing dated or blah. Even the 1884 Puna Forest photo provided by the Hawaiian Historical Society has an amazing beauty to it, taking us back in time 130 years.
Take your time with these shots by rolling your mouse over the slideshow and clicking the “Pause” icon. Then, advance manually so you can take in the full beauty. I won’t say which ones, but a couple of them took my breath away. Can you guess which ones those might have been? Why not leave a comment with your favorites? And, sharing is always good. Feel free to share!
Unless otherwise noted, all photos are in the public domain. All photos via Wikimedia Commons.
