Linda Schroeder wasn’t always interested in Chinese culture. She started out with a typical Western education, has a Master’s degrees in English and Communicative Disorders and has even published a college text. So how did she become interested in Chinese culture and, ultimately, decide to write a mystery with a Chinese-American protagonist? LIke many writers with a new passion, the change wasn’t immediate.
