Today was our first day of work. We went from 8:00 am. to 2:00 p.m., then another two hours at 4:00 p.m. Now, our thought was, “who’s going to bother coming back to see the exhibit hall after we’ve been closed for two hours?” And we probably would have been right, except that the convention planners had their really, really smart hats on the day they were planning. Hence the title. The exhibit hall was hopping when we got back at 4 because the bartenders were setting up and the music was gearing up. Earlier in the day, we had some lulls. Between 4 and 5 we had to fight the sound from the stage, but the visitors were happy and chatty because they had a drink and music. Who would’a thunk? Huh? This was probably the best first day we’ve had since the St. Louis convention, which was our first. We’re happy.
