In craps, the hard way means rolling a specific number with doubles—pretty difficult. Well, getting some things done in the islands is just like that—always the hard way. The Walk was easy, four miles on the beach, no problem. As you can see from the two photos, we ran into a crab and had a cardinal visit us while we were on the bench at Kamalani Playground. Finishing up the faucet installation was also pretty easy. And refinishing the front door was not so bad. But, it was time, let the HARD WAY begin. It was time to paint the undercounter area in the dining area. Not so bad except, oops, we were out of that particular paint (had all the others, just not that one.) Well, I was going to install a remote to the new fan anyway, so I made today’s trip to Home Depot and bought the paint as well as the HUNTER remote control unit for the new HUNTER fan we installed a few DAYS ago.
So this is where the plot thickens. . .the going gets tough. . .ah, forget it, things just get worse. I did my due diligence. At Home Depot, I found a sales guy, told him I wanted to install the remote into a new Hunter fan, and we even discussed steps to make sure the fan installation was safe (all done at the time of installation by the way.) Back home, I had a sudden realization—the fan came with compact fluorescent bulbs, would that matter? I checked the packaging on the remote. No mention of what type of lighting would be required. I went to the Huner website. It’s broke. At least, the part I needed wasn’t working. Called tech support (I really didn’t expect this to work) and discovered that they’re open from 7 am to blah, blah pm Central time. (Who works Central time, anyway?)
Ah well, weather report time: perfect! That wasn’t so hard, was it?
