I’m sitting in front of my new Mac typing up this post. It’s taking the place of my normal scam tip and is really just a way to say Merry Christmas to everyone. Even if you don’t celebrate Christmas, I’m sure you can enjoy the lights and your virtual trip to the San Diego Zoo Jungle Bells.
I love looking at Christmas lights. Years ago, we went to the Safari Park in Escondido for their light display. Unfortunately, they stopped the display several years back. So, we braved the traffic for the drive to San Diego. When you walk through the entrance to the welcoming area, you’re greeted by a magnificent display on a huge tree. At this point, I just started shooting, not knowing if the photos would come out or not. To my camera’s credit (surely not mine!) it captured everything, despite the low lighting.
The biggest set of lights are, of course, at the entrance to the San Diego Zoo for Jungle Bells.
These giraffe's are animated. Their heads go up and down!
This elephant was in the Children's Zoo area. How much fun for the kids!
Over in the new Africa area of the zoo, they had lots of giraffes.
The real koalas were trying to sleep (which they do most of the time) while the people watched, fascinated.
We found the real koalas sleeping, but this one was looking lively!
Look! It's Santa and his reindeer (I think a few were taking a day or two off to rest up.
This peacock at at Jungle Bells - San Diego Zoo was beautiful!
Unfortunately, the trees didn't come out as well as I'd hoped, but these were up in the polar bear plunge area where the bears were napping.
THANKS FOR THE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS, SINCE WE NO LONGER TRAVEL I CAN ENJOY MANY SITES BECAUSE OF YOU.
Very nice! Happy Holidays!
Love the pics!!! Merry Christmas to you and your especially McKenna.
Beautiful! Merry Christmas!
