On November 19 at 8:00 pm, EST (5:00 pm, PST), I’ll be talking about the 12 Scams of Christmas with Authors on the Air host Pam Stack. This promises to be a fun time and you can even phone in with questions. There are so many scams that really ramp up during the holidays that this is a perfect time to brush up on what’s hot in the scam department this year.

If you can’t make the live broadcast, the session will be available on a podcast. So, get ready. We’ll have 12 snarky tips for you to help avoid the scammers and don’t be surprised if you even hear me mention Jolly Old St. Nick himself. Don’t worry, he’s not the scam!

Get more info at the Authors on the Air website here.

In the hot seat – interview at Authors on the Air

July 23, 2014 By Terry Leave a Comment

Con Game 231x350Tonight I’ll be in the hot seat with radio talk-show host Pam Stack of Authors on the Air. I’ve been interviewed by Pam before and it was a wide-ranging interview. What crazy subjects will we cover this time? I don’t know, but it’s sure to be lots of fun.

You can bet I’ll want to discuss “Con Game,” but also we’ll surely get into the next McKenna Mystery, “Big Island Blues.”

The interview will be at Authors on the Air at 8:00 PM EDT on July 23. I hope you can listen in!

Tucson Festival of Books

February 17, 2014 By Terry Leave a Comment

Can he fly? Leap tall buildings in a single bound? How about just tell you about a book? No phone booth required!
Can he fly? Leap tall buildings in a single bound? How about just tell you about a book? No phone booth required!

The Tucson Festival of Books is on March 15 & 16 this year and the big question is, will it be warmer than it was last year? We had everything from gorgeous sunshine to rain to snow last year. Granted, there wasn’t a lot of the white stuff, but there were flurries and it felt pretty darned cold to those of us standing out in a booth all day long.

Once again, I’m in the All Mystery Writers booth with Rebecca Dahlke. This year, we have a new member, Maria Grazia Swan. Both are mystery authors and Rebecca runs the All Mystery Writers, a publication dedicated to promoting mysteries.

We’ll be in booth #116 and will be flanked by Sisters in Crime, Desert Sleuths, and Mystery Writers of America. Talk about location, location, location. For more information about the Tucson Festival of Books, visit their website at tucsonfestivalofbooks.org. The festival draws about 100,000 visitors, will you be one of them? If so, stop on by to say hi!
