Ferns growing out of treesOne of the really cool things about a rain forest is where the plants grow. As we walked along the path to the Thurston Lava Tube, all we had to do was look around to see how easily ferns and other plants take root in almost thin air. Outrigger canoe at Kahanamoku BeachI love the early morning light and how it helps create great images. This outrigger canoe seemed like the perfect centerpiece to grab the sunrise in the background and those people out on the breakwater.
