Friday Fotos – Milford Sound meets the Tasman Sea

August 23, 2019 By Terry

Milford Sound - the Tasman Sea just beyond

Milford Sound meets the Tasman SeaThe journey to this point had been slow and smooth. But once the Tasman Sea came into view, it’s influence and power became obvious. At first, our ferry boat just rolled a little. As we made our way out onto the open ocean, we found ourselves moving up, down, and sideways. On what was actually a calm day, the Tasman Sea gave us the barest … [Read more...] about Friday Fotos – Milford Sound meets the Tasman Sea

Milford Sound - another view

Small sailboat sailing Milford Sound There’s not a lot of boat traffic on Milford Sound—or maybe that’s just an illusion because it’s so darned big. One of the things we like most about this area is the ability to get around without a car. Public transit is a block away and you we enjoyed walking to restaurants, coffee shops, a market, Ala Moana Park, and the beach. It was a little noisy at night for … [Read more...] about Friday Fotos – Honolulu Harbor sunset

Friday Fotos – Sydney sunset from the MS Noordam

Sydney sunset from MS Noordam

About Sydney sunset from MS NoordamOur sunset departure was almost behind us as we made our way out to sea. We'd caught a Sydney sunset from the deck of the Noordam, which gave us an amazing view of the Sydney Opera House at sunset. By the time we made it out of the Sydney Harbor, the sun was dropping below the horizon. This skyline photo was the last I could get. Almost in … [Read more...] about Friday Fotos – Sydney sunset from the MS Noordam
