Ho! Ho! Ho! I’m sad to say it’s time for the Santa scams to make their return. In fact, the first Naughty List candidate landed in my mailbox on November 17. It was a sad excuse for a scam. This particular bad boy or girl deserves coal in their stocking for sure!

Season’s Greetings
Have you been searching for or trying to come up with the BEST possible gift-for your child this Holiday-Season? Just not sure what will make their Christmas-magical this year?
Give them a personalized letter from-Santa and see them REALLY smile!
Your child’s letter will be personalized to them, handwritten by Santa, will be mailed directly to your home from the North Pole and will also include Santa’s “Official-Map” and “Nice List” as well.
This is sure to make your child or ANY relatives Christmas-Season extra special-this year!
Let’s get real
In my opinion, Santa scams are about as low as you can go. Their sole redeeming quality is usually a cool Santa graphic that helps to disguise the grinch lying in wait. This one even lacked that. There was no graphic, but there were nearly five hundred words thrown onto the end of the email to help it slip through my email filter. Well, our would-be Santa-scammer barely deserves coal for that attempt. The trick didn’t work. The spam filter caught a chill from the quill and assigned it to the spam pile. And we’re not talking canned spam, but phishing spam, the kind that stinks from the get-go.
Keep your holiday safe
It’s not hard to keep your holidays safe from this kind of naughty nonsense, just follow a few simple rules.
- If you didn’t ask for it, delete it.
- If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
- Never click a link in unsolicited email.
