Strolling through the streets of Devonport, we crossed in front of a boutique stationery store. I was immediately struck by the elegance of the display and the attention to detail. The white lettering and white desk were in stark contrast to the black antique Smith-Corona Junior typewriter. The display conjured up images of writers toiling away, typing away while they cursed their occasional error and struggled to make corrections. So, for all those writers who remember the classic typewriter and everything that went with it, this one’s for you. Enjoy the memories.
