Day 12 – Saturday, March 30: Queenstown through Milford Sound to Te Anau

We left Queenstown at 7:30am and or was still dark out. A little way down the road the sun rose and then we had low ground fog.

Can’t begin to describe how beautiful and majestic Milford Sound is. Cascading waterfalls, rainforest and sheer rock walls.

Picturesque town of Te Anau. Arrived at the Kingsgate Hotel at 5:30pm, dinner at 6:30. Lake Te Anau is the 2nd largest in NZ.
