TEMECULA—On Thursday, March 21, journalist and novelist author Terry Ambrose will be a guest speaker at Great Oak High School. The title of his presentation is “The Importance of Character.” Ambrose will guide an interactive discussion with the students in various classes to generate an understanding of how characters drive a story and how lessons learned from fictional characters can be related to everyday issues. One of the issues Ambrose will discuss as part of the presentation is how to avoid scams and cons with a specific focus on cell phone usage, Internet fraud, and social media.

Ambrose writes a Crime and Courts column for Examiner.com and does presentations to community organizations on the topic of avoiding scams and cons. He has two published mystery/suspense novels. Learn more about Terry Ambrose on his website at terryambrose.com.
