Aloha. McKenna here again. Today, it’s going to be 83 degrees with some showers in Honolulu. Tomorrow, we’ll get a heat wave and jump up to 84. Sounds like umbrella-drink weather to me.
Looks like the Mystery Characters of America support group idea I floated yesterday is catching on. The group has doubled its membership since yesterday and is now at a solid 2—yeah, that’s two. The other member is a fellow character named BOBB. BOBB’s like me in that she only uses one name. She’s got a slight advantage on me because BOBB’s an acronym for Bitchin’ Ol’ Boomer Babe. That’s okay, I won’t complain about the acronym—we’ll just call it a handicap. You know, like ladies’ tees in golf.
Anyway, on Facebook, she said, “BOBB here, I’m with ya man. I’m constantly giving Shinazy (that’s her writer friend) ideas and does she ever credit me? Nay. Count me in as a member of the support group; it’s time we came out of the…where are we, anyway?”
There we go. We characters have two problems. First, we’re trying to figure out where our writer friends have us locked up. Well, my answer to that is simple—we’re between the covers. And that brings us to the second problem. How do we get out from between those covers? If you other characters, real or fictional—I won’t hold it against you, either way—have suggestions, let me know before BOBB and I break out in a chorus—“we gotta get out of this place.”
Solidarity BOBB. We’re good. Long as we don’t have to sing.
