Welcome to the March 25 Friday Morning Post. Today, we're visiting one of the most beloved national parks in the United States: The Great Smoky Mountains. Located on the border of Tennessee and North Carolina, this park is known for its ancient forests, diverse wildlife, and iconic mist that hangs over the lush landscape. It's no wonder that over 12 million people visit each year to experience its natural wonders. In today's post, you'll find out three fun facts about this park as well as get to play a gorgeous jigsaw puzzle!
And speaking of puzzles, here's a fun tidbit from last week's comments. Several of you mentioned that you'd been to Mt. Rushmore, but the most interesting story came from Cathy, who said she'd been there once when she was a child and once as an adult. During her childhood visit, she described how an American Indian lowered his feathered headdress over the cliff at the restaurant level and then climbed down after it! Holy cow! What a memory from that trip!
As for times on last week's puzzle, mine was one of the slowest at 14 minutes 21 seconds. The average was 8 minutes 43 seconds, and the best time was an blistering 4 minutes 50 seconds. Whether you're fast or slow, I hope you have fun with this week's puzzle! |
