One very popular tourist destination in San Diego Count is Carlsbad Village. Not only do we have great beaches along this stretch of coast, but the streets of Carlsbad Village are almost always filled with tourists and locals alike who like to visit the local shops. Check out this post for a view of 'The Village.'

Scam Tip

Social Security scams have become commonplace, prompting the Inspector General to warn consumers to beware of robocalls from the main Social Security number. Thanks to technological advances, scammers are now able to trick CallerID into displaying almost any number they choose. Is it any wonder the bad guys have chosen the number for an organization millions of older Americans rely on to do their worst: commit a Social Security scam.

The Dish

During the winter, we like this recipe for Roasted Brussel Sprouts. Paired with barbecued or broiled salmon, it makes a nice, light dinner that's full of flavor.

This is a great time of year to turn on the oven to roast veggies, so this one is hot right now while the weather is cold!

Writing News

I’ve finished the first draft of Shadows from the Past! This feels like a huge accomplishment because I wrote the last book in that series several years ago. My target date for release is sometime in March. Depending upon how the edits go, that date may slip because we’re rapidly closing in on the departure date for a huge trip to New Zealand and Australia.

After May, my publishing calendar starts to return to something more normal.  I need to write one McKenna Mystery and one Seaside Cove Bed & Breakfast Mystery in 2019. The question is, which one first? I’d love to hear from you, so send me an email using this link to vote for McKenna or Seaside Cove!
